About this event

Dance By Daylight is a daytime Latin dance class and social featuring bachata, salsa, and Brazilian zouk. Everyone is invited to join, from beginners to seasoned dancers! All proceeds to SLC Mutual Aid.

Schedule:

3 p.m. Beginner Bachata Class (Everyone will learn how to lead and follow! No partner necessary.)

4-7 p.m. Social Dancing (bachata, salsa, Brazilian zouk music)

Performances at 5 p.m.

Tickets:

We are offering tiered ticket pricing for affordability. All are welcome, regardless of financial circumstances!

Community Care ($10 Early Bird, $12 Day-of) - discounted tickets for students, seniors, or those experiencing financial difficulty.

Standard ($15 Early Bird, $17 Day-of) - baseline ticket for those who can cover the full cost of their attendance.

Star Supporter ($20) - Help subsidize Community Care tickets. Thank you for your support! You make this event happen.

First Dance Social? Here are some commonly asked questions:

What Music Will There Be? Brazilian Zouk, Bachata, and Salsa. Fusion dancing is welcome, so you don’t need to know all three styles to attend.

No Partner Necessary! Class is beginner level bachata. Everyone will learn how to lead and follow.

What to Wear? An outfit that makes you feel fantastic and allows freedom of movement. Shoes that slide on the ground (suede sole dance shoes or smooth rubber). Deodorant and avoid strong perfumes. This helps keep everyone comfortable as we dance in close proximity!
