Hatha refers to the Sun and Moon connection within all of us. The yogic concept behind this style is based in the union of yang and yin energies. Hatha Yoga classes will often offer a "Solar" option and "Lunar" option for many poses, where the student is guided through postures while given the opportunity to find modifications to poses that are best suited for their body.
