HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Flu hospitalizations in Utah surged as hospitals admitted nearly 300 people between Dec. 21 and Dec. 27, with a total of 698 recorded this season. Health officials say these spikes are typical for this time but are the largest since 2020. Mid Utah Radio
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Utah Mammoth captain Clayton Keller and defenseman Olli Määttä will compete in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy when the tournament begins on Feb. 6. Keller represents Team USA while Määttä plays for Team Finland (the NHL team announced their selections on Friday). KUTV
- ➤ Utah Football ended the season with a 44-22 win over Nebraska at the Las Vegas Bowl on Wed, Dec. 31, 2025. The victory marked the Utes' fourth 11-win season and was the first under coach Morgan Scalley, who celebrated the win with his team. KUTV
- ➤ Utah Mammoth captain Clayton Keller was happy today after learning he will join Team USA at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games to play ice hockey. He will begin the competition on Feb. 12 against Latvia as one of 25 players. KUTV
