- ➤ Data center developers in Utah are building their own power plants this spring as Rocky Mountain Power cannot meet AI growth energy needs. Sites in Millard County and Eagle Mountain will use natural gas generators (with cleaner options planned) while experts warn that emissions may worsen air quality. The Salt Lake Tribune

- ➤ Utah Valley University earned national recognition for its affordable online programs — its $8,100 tuition ranked No. 18 on OnlineU’s 2026 list. The university offers certificates and degrees to about 7,400 students, many living near Orem. Daily Herald
- ➤ Utah lawmakers are considering a bill that would let college students opt out of assignments for religious or conscience reasons if they give written notice—Representative Michael Peterson introduced the measure, which received an 8–1 recommendation and would take effect July 1 if approved.
