- ➤ Funeral services for Addi Smith, an 11-year-old cheerleader, will be held on Monday, Mar. 2 at Riverton City Cemetery, with a private service followed by a graveside ceremony as her family gathers to honor her life. KUTV
- ➤ The Orchard at University Place will host the annual Easter Extravaganza with free activities including photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo and pony rides. - ➤ Brigham Young University in Provo apologized on Friday to nine prospective students for mistakenly sending congratulatory letters — the admissions office said it had reached out and was working to prevent future errors. KUTV
- ➤ The 4th annual Utah Valley STEM FEST will be held soon at The Orchard at University Place, featuring hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities and demonstrations; vendor registration is currently open. - ➤ At a town hall on Thursday, UVU hosted Mike Smith (author of The Abundant University) and associate commissioner TJ Bliss to discuss a new vision for higher education where technology offers accessible, flexible learning options. - ➤ Public schools will have a bell-to-bell cellphone ban when classes resume this summer after lawmakers passed Senate Bill 69 that extends the rule to include breaks, lunch, and transit time; if signed by Governor Cox, the policy takes effect July 1. Daily Herald
