- ➤ Matthew Acquah, a 24-year-old California man who defrauded Utah credit unions of nearly $500k, pleaded guilty to bank fraud, bank fraud conspiracy, and aggravated identity theft before he was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison — he will also serve three years’ supervised release and pay $452,000 in restitution. - ➤ Students from UVU spent one week in early March in Altadena, California, where they measured and documented damage from the wildfires in Los Angeles that burned many homes and took lives. They are now drafting digital blueprints for 33 residences and will send the preliminary plans to affected families in the coming days. Daily Herald
