- ➤ A man was shot and killed by Springville police late Saturday after he reportedly attacked an officer with a large knife outside a residence; the wounded officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released at a local hospital. KJZZ
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ President Russell M. Nelson announced a new temple will be built in Spanish Fork during the concluding session of the 195th General Conference on April 6 — the temple is one of 15 announced worldwide, making it the second built south of Provo and sparking excitement among church members. - ➤ At Sunday afternoon's General Conference, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced plans to build 15 new temples around the world including a new temple in Spanish Fork (the 31st in Utah).
