Police responded to an incident Saturday night in Springville after a woman’s car stalled on the tracks at 400 North and 400 West and was hit by a train; no one was injured and police closed the crossing at 400 North and Center Street as they investigated.

On Friday, a 34-year-old man with past DUI arrests was arrested in Provo for driving under the influence after a single-car accident—he was hurt by a gunshot to the head when he accidentally fired a friend's gun and police later found alcohol and drugs in his car.

On Friday night, Oscar Diaz—a convicted felon with three DUI offenses—accidentally shot himself in the forehead while driving under the influence near Waffle Love in Provo and then crashed his vehicle; he was later arrested on 12 charges.
