EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Timberline Middle School in Alpine was placed on lockdown Tuesday at 11:44 a.m. after a threatening phone call prompted staff and Lone Peak police to secure the building; school operations resumed at 12:25 p.m. once officials found no credible threat. Daily Herald
- ➤ Two more books were removed from school libraries statewide after local challenges flagged them for explicit content—bringing the banned count to 34 titles. Officials said the removal meets state law when challenges reach three districts, though the titles remain available in bookstores and public libraries. KUTV
- ➤ The Good and the Beautiful in Lehi will soon launch its summer reading program by shipping 200,000 free books to families after expanding operations with dozens of temporary workers at its new 100,000-sqft warehouse.
