CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local breeders in Utah are working with rare curly horses—a genetic trait that gives them poodle-like coats, manes, and eyelashes. These horses, which may be hypoallergenic and have existed for centuries, continue to captivate lifelong horse owners. KUTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Canvas, a learning management system used in many Utah schools, was hit by a cyberattack that may have exposed names, email addresses, and student IDs; the incident remains under investigation and parent notifications are expected in the coming weeks. KJZZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Highway 6 near the Highway 89 interchange is reduced to one lane in each direction until November, causing delays especially on holiday weekends, and drivers are advised to allow extra time or use alternate routes (like I-70 or I-15) to avoid congestion. UDOT works to improve safety at this busy junction. KJZZ
- ➤ UDOT said that starting Friday, U.S. 6 will operate with one lane per direction in Spanish Fork Canyon until Nov. 15 as crews construct a new interchange at U.S. 5/U.S. 89. Travelers may see delays, including 1.5-hour holds on Memorial Day weekend (May 22, May 25). Daily Herald
