EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Canvas is down after a cyberattack-driven breach that affected names, emails, student IDs and private messages for several schools. The Utah State Board of Education said affected districts will update families if further action becomes necessary. KUTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ UDOT will reduce US-6 to one lane in each direction in Spanish Fork Canyon as part of a safety project near Thistle Junction starting Friday — delays are expected through November with up to 90 minutes on peak holiday weekends. Drivers are advised to plan ahead for extra travel time. KJZZ
- ➤ State and federal agencies met on Thursday to recommend Governor Spencer Cox issue an emergency drought declaration for all of Utah—meant to free up funding and resources as reservoirs face stress amid record low snowpack and rising temperatures.
