- ➤ Two brides filed lawsuits against Something Borrowed, a bridal consignment shop that moved from Provo to Orem, saying they were not paid for consigned dresses. One bride said she is owed about $500 for a dress rented three times while another said her designer gown was returned yellowed and missing beads, and a judge ordered damages in November — more brides are now coming forward. - ➤ Claire's filed for bankruptcy a second time and plans to close three Utah stores—one at Orem's University Mall among them—as the company restructures its debt amid rising competition. All other shops will remain open as it explores new options. The Salt Lake Tribune
- ➤ Apple announced on March 12 that a portion of its $600 billion U.S. investment went to support tool installations at the Texas Instruments facility in Lehi (its largest investment in Utah) and to build a new plant in Sherman, Texas. - ➤ Early Thursday, a K-9 officer named Rocco discovered $40,000 worth of drugs — including fentanyl, fentanyl powder, and meth — during a traffic stop along I-15 near Lehi, and officers arrested the driver and passenger for drug-related charges. KJZZ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bridger Aerospace's super scooper planes have been helping Utah firefighters fight wildfires at Monroe Canyon and Little Cottonwood in Garfield County. CEO Sam Davis (Bridger Aerospace) said the planes scoop water in 10 to 12 seconds and can drop hundreds of thousands of gallons each hour to support ground crews. KUTV

- ➤ Officials at UDOT began a pilot test yesterday at Pioneer Crossing to change the ramp meter lights so all lights turn green simultaneously—aiming to ease I-15 traffic during rush hour. They will monitor the new system to adjust it and may expand it to other locations if it proves effective. KJZZ
