Good morning, Orem.

Utah will update its school emergency plans by releasing an interactive guide that meets new state laws and reflects best practices for both natural and human-caused emergencies — the revised guide will be ready by the end of the year.

BYU coach Kalani Sitake said two players, Bear Bachmeier and McCae Hillstead, will compete for the starting quarterback spot during fall camp.

Offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick said Bear earned most reps today — and the starting role will be decided on the field before the season begins on Aug. 30.
