- ➤ Utah's Department of Public Safety will launch an online dashboard to help officers quickly access background information and connect victims to local resources during domestic violence calls, using data from 23,000 assessments from a 2023 study that found one in three Utah women experienced abuse — domestic violence survivor Teresa Thomas urged people to seek help at the first sign of abuse. - ➤ Ralph Menzies’ attorneys asked the Utah Supreme Court on Thursday to delay his firing squad execution set for Sept. 5 by ordering a new competency evaluation for his worsening vascular dementia—this appeal may be his final chance to postpone his death after decades on death row for killing Maurine Hunsaker.
