- ➤ A semitrailer carrying garbage overturned on the northbound I-15 on-ramp from 800 North in Orem on Wednesday, blocking two lanes while officials planned to roll the truck back—though the driver was unharmed. FOX 13
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An Idaho man pleaded guilty to attempted murder and five counts of felony discharge of a firearm for shooting at a security guard outside Provo Missionary Training Center on Aug. 3, 2020 — the guard was injured by shattered glass though the shots missed him. He will be sentenced on Oct. 7. FOX 13

- ➤ State officials say road deaths from Memorial Day to Labor Day are down 18% this summer with 77 fatalities compared to 94 last year—crashes have hit a 10-year low even as fatal motorcycle crashes have increased by 36%, prompting calls for extra caution.
