- ➤ On Monday, David Phillips, a business and finance employee at Utah Valley University, walked to the memorial for Charlie Kirk—who was killed in a shooting—before returning to campus with a racing heart. The university has made mental health counselors and therapy dogs available as students prepare to resume classes on Wednesday. FOX 13
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Pumpkins in The Orchard will return for their 6th year from October 1—31 at The Orchard at University Place and will feature hundreds of pumpkins with free public parking, while special lighting will be on from 5:00—10:00 pm each night. Visitors will walk through the display to find pumpkins that represent Utah. University Place Orem
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On April 3, the Utah State Board of Education approved changes to teacher guidelines—modifying rules on relationships with recent high school graduates and clarifying boundary violations—while rejecting a separate, lengthy proposal by Christina Boggess for additional restrictions on teacher conduct.
