- ➤ Church leaders at the conference in Salt Lake City urged members to show forgiveness after a deadly gun attack on a Michigan congregation and the recent death of President Russell M. Nelson, whose funeral is set for Tuesday. Elder Dallin H. Oaks, a former Utah Supreme Court justice, is expected to take charge and guide the church as security was increased at the event—responding to heightened concerns. KUTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Utah Valley University has accepted an invitation from the University of Oxford to build a new facility that will send 300 to 500 students each year to study subjects like law, theater and computer science. - ➤ A University of Utah study found that grandchildren have a higher chance of intellectual disabilities if their grandmothers lived near polluting businesses during pregnancy in the 1970s and 80s.
