- ➤ The human-caused Cherry Fire burned 540 acres in Hobble Creek Canyon — an evacuation notice was issued for residents before the fire was fully contained. KUTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Lehi police and firefighters use drones—helping them track suspects, find missing people, and view dangerous scenes in real time—while thermal cameras spot individuals in dark areas. The program has grown from one drone to seven with 16 pilots and will add more drones by next year. KUTV
- ➤ Utah violinist John Shin no longer faces deportation after his removal proceedings were stopped when the government did not reply in time. He was released from ICE detention last month—he will now file for a green card to legally remain in the country. FOX 13
