- ➤ Utah public colleges grew by 4.4% this fall with 9,112 new students enrolled and Salt Lake Community College recording a historic jump of 14.7% in its student number. State officials warn that lower birth rates and budget changes may force schools to prepare for a drop in enrollment starting in 2032 — prompting a shift in program priorities. The Salt Lake Tribune
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Utahns who depend on enhanced Affordable Care Act tax credits may see their health insurance premiums more than double when these credits expire at the end of the year—lawmakers continue to debate how to extend or taper the credits amid rising health costs.
