Community Action Services and Food Bank in Provo needs to raise $100,000 by the end of this month to keep its essential services running amid growing demand.

The organization has changed leadership and plans to open a warming center on Nov. 1 with Utah County support to help local families.

The Central Utah Project supplies Colorado River water to Wasatch Front cities; a pipeline completed this summer in southern Utah County now extends water delivery (including cities like Santaquin and Salem) while planned canal enclosures aim to reduce loss amid ongoing drought.

IRONMAN triathlon will take place in August 2027, starting with a swim at Deer Creek Reservoir, followed by a 56-mile bike ride through Utah Valley and a 13.1 run finishing at City Center Park.

Registration opens Oct. 29 (qualifying athletes for the 2028 championship).
