- ➤ Pleasant Grove’s annual drive-through Halloween event has raised over $1,000 for families + supports Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry North County. The event runs from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, operating from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. + spooky lights and sounds start at 6:30 p.m. KUTV
- ➤ Tiffany Ulmer, known as the Headless Horsewoman of Eagle Mountain, stepped out of character to share how she brings fun to local families—like the Millers who treasure her Halloween visits. She rides her horse and connects with the community to spark smiles during the season. FOX 13
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Bank of Utah donated $150,000 to The Policy Project to start a new financial literacy program in 86 teen centers across Utah. The donation was given Saturday morning at Black Desert Resort before the championship event—teaching budgeting, saving and credit management to help at-risk teens succeed. KUTV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Utah Department of Workforce Services announced that SNAP recipients with a prior balance in their accounts will be able to use those benefits for food after November 1 even if the shutdown continues — about 86,000 households depend on the program and can access help through 211. FOX 13
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ BYU safety Faletau Satuala returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to help the Cougars secure a 41 to 27 win over Iowa State on Saturday. Bear Bachmeier threw for 307 yards and receiver Parker Kingston logged career highs with 133 yards and two touchdowns—ensuring BYU remained unbeaten at 8 to 0. KUTV
