- ➤ A domestic duck found at Spring Lake on Oct. 25th had a blow dart lodged in its head and was euthanized after a veterinarian confirmed its injuries were too severe & police are investigating the suspected act of animal cruelty. KJZZ

- ➤ Utah banned Jay Asher’s novel Thirteen Reasons Why from all public schools as Nebo, Tooele County, and Washington County school districts removed it—raising the count of banned titles to 19. The Salt Lake Tribune
