- ➤ Rosati’s Pizza will open its first location at University Place in Orem on November 17th and will give away free pizza for a year to one winner who signs up for rewards by November 30th—this fast-casual restaurant will serve Chicago-style thin crust and deep dish pizzas along with wings and Italian beef sandwiches while remaining alcohol-free and closed on Sundays. - ➤ Today, on day 30 of the government shutdown, many Utahns rely on food pantry donations as federal workers risk missing their next paycheck, which could slow spending at local businesses. Economists warn that missing data may make it harder for the Federal Reserve to decide if further interest rate cuts are needed by December — a situation that adds uncertainty to the local economy. - ➤ Utah families may lose SNAP benefits after October 31 as the ongoing government shutdown strains food and rent assistance, and many have called 211 to get help. The United Way 211 Emergency Relief Fund is already supporting local partners — calls to 211 have surged as many face hardships. KUTV
