- ➤ Brigham Young University will host six digital Light the World Giving Machines from December 1 to December 23, split between the Wilkinson Student Center and the Marriott Center—launching during BYU’s 150th Night of Light event at 7:30 p.m. at Brigham Square—and a Giving Machine will return to University Place in Orem to serve local needs. - ➤ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent out the first five of 250 semitrucks carrying food donations worth $15 million on November 13th to support food banks across the nation as part of the America250 initiative; the trucks will deliver supplies through 2026+ the group also urges members to volunteer in local communities. - ➤ Researchers at DocuCopies.com found that Utah ranked fifth for side hustle interest—virtual assistant work topped the list while tutoring and other remote opportunities also drew attention. The study analyzed keyword data from the past year to track trends in service-based and online work. KUTV

- ➤ Utahns receiving SNAP benefits will get their full November deposits today as the government reopens after a short shutdown—this comes less than 24 hours after funding resumed. Workforce Services advises customers to lock their EBT cards using the Connect EBT app to protect their funds. KUTV
