- ➤ A fire broke out at 4 a.m. Sunday at Beehive State Honey near American Fork and destroyed most equipment on the 7-acre property—damage is estimated at $2 to $4 million while firefighters saved one warehouse and the investigation is handled by the State Fire Marshal’s Office with a GoFundMe effort underway. - ➤ Utahns watch as a possible December interest rate cut becomes uncertain due to foggy economic conditions—mortgage rates have edged up since the most recent drop. Zions Bank economist Robert Spendlove said rates could fall slightly in the next three to six months, giving buyers a narrow window for new home or car purchases. KUTV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ There are no confirmed cases of botulism in Utah after the nationwide recall of ByHeart infant formula, and health experts advise that parents monitor infants for symptoms like constipation, drooping eyelids, and a weak suck. Dr. Andrew Pavia said the recall follows 23 cases of infant botulism nationwide and that the recalled product makes up only 1% of the formula market. FOX 13
