- ➤ Utah Valley University warned students today about a phishing campaign that sent fake emails imitating professors to trick them into sharing personal and banking information. Marketing professor Dustin Harding said a student lost nearly $3000 from the scam—though the university confirmed no data breach occurred and advised students to report suspicious emails immediately. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Seasonal canyon roads in Utah County are set to close for winter—most gates will shut by Nov 30 due to snowfall while the lower gates on the south end Nebo Loop will close Dec 15. The sheriff’s office advises back country travelers to call the Forest Service and avoid parking in front of gates so emergency responders can reach them. Daily Herald
