- ➤ A study by the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute found that Utah college sports powered local economic growth by creating over 3,000 jobs and generating $409 million in economic output—boosting community bonds. The report also noted that athletic events produced $19 million in ticket sales—adding to the value of college brands in the state. KJZZ
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Utah Transit Authority ski service will resume next week if weather allows and resorts open as planned—routes to Solitude, Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird will start on Thanksgiving while Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Sundance will begin on later dates. Riders are advised to check schedules on the Transit app for any changes. The Salt Lake Tribune
- ➤ UDOT has provided peak travel times for Thanksgiving weekend – drivers today on southbound I-15 in Salt Lake County may face up to a 20-minute delay from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday extra delays are expected with peaks at 4 p.m. in the county and 3 p.m. near Nephi. UDOT said they will pause some construction and open all lanes to ease travel while launching a new travel hub for Ogden Valley with up-to-date road conditions. KUTV
