GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Utah Department of Transportation will close U.S. 189 from Main Canyon Road in Wallsburg to SR-113 in Charleston Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.—and again Saturday night from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Sunday—as part of a two-year widening project to improve safety near Deer Creek Reservoir. - ➤ UDOT plans closures in Provo Canyon on Dec. 18, 20 and 21 to widen US-189. The first closure will block the road at Main Canyon Road and Wallsburg from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., and later lane closures with overnight excavation will affect travel near Charleston and Deer Creek Reservoir. KUTV
