Breeze Airways announced it will resume flights from Provo to Las Vegas and add routes to Burbank, Redmond, Arcata and Pasco/Tri-Cities starting in March with detailed schedules including flights to Las Vegas on Mondays and Fridays beginning March 13 and to Burbank on multiple days starting March 11—expanding its west coast network for local travelers.

A 67-year-old woman was arrested by the Orem Police Department on Thursday for alleged prostitution and illegal massage practices at a local hotel — she was found with related paraphernalia and thousands of dollars in cash — and the case is under investigation.

Governor Cox said during his press conference that after Utah County voted on Wednesday to join the 287(g) program, local law enforcement began coordinating with ICE to formalize immigration processing while ensuring the law is followed and racial profiling is not tolerated.

He noted that ICE operations have generally been handled well, though some mistakes occurred and increased immigration strained resources for agriculture and university education—prompting needed policy changes.

Gov. Cox said in his press conference that wildfires are getting worse because dry conditions and extra plants make fires spread easily, with 72% caused by human actions while drought has led to higher water use and lower reservoir levels.

He urged residents to use less water and follow fire safety rules — a call for action after declaring June 29 a Day of Prayer and Fasting for Rain.
