If you're planning your Saturday around football, set an alarm: No. 3 Utah and No. 9 BYU kick off at 10 a.m. on Nov. 7. It's the first rivalry game with two top-10 teams, and a Big 12 championship berth could be on the line.
Kalani Sitake knows the other sideline. BYU's coach spent 10 years on Utah's staff and worked eight of them alongside Morgan Scalley, now the Utes' first-year head coach. Scalley admits he was "dead wrong" about BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier, whose 22-yard touchdown run helped BYU win last year.
Bachmeier threw for 3,033 yards and ran for 527 in 2025

“Does God care who wins this game? No. Does he care about people? Yeah. I think we can be better to each other in that realm.”
Morgan Scalley, Utah head coach
